I meditate and practice yoga, I read books upon books upon books (usually several at once), I heart my library card. For years I practiced Zen Buddhism and recently got into a modern-day meditation at The Center (http://www.thecentersf.org). I am only recently coming to feel I know or understand a conception of God (wowza, what a loaded word!) and prayer. I'm pleased with what I'm discovering, and can also be full of discontent, because as I fall away from the old things I'd used to orient myself in the world, and the new orientation is still being built and slow in coming, there's a lot of grappling. I'm trying to allow myself to be very tender, to be willing to lose some control and make some mistakes…to release the grip and see what happens.
